Georgia ID Help?
    #4524451 - 08/12/05 01:13 AM (11 years, 8 months ago)

I just went mushroom hunting for my first time yesterday, just a bit north of Macon, Georgia.

This picture is what I'm pretty sure is good, and plan on drying to eat:

These are some that I'm not sure about, and ANY help at all to identify them would be GREATLY appreciated:

Thanks.

The first picture is psilocybe cubensis.
After that, we need to see the gills upclose to identify them.

Looks like Psilocybe cubensis to me.

Make sure that all of them bruise blue/green and drop purple brown prints.

Good job!

Nice find! Be careful!!! don't eat anything you haven't positively id'd.

Check those two stems at the bottom right corner of the first pic.

There is 2 broken caps in the first picture that don't look like cubensis, as well as the 2 stems..

You are right, those mushrooms are not Psilocibe Cubensis. Do you have any idea what they could be though? Because my friend gave some to some other people, and they ate them.
Thanks.
