I'm going to guess the almost white capped variety of Hygrophoropsis aurantiaca.

Possibly Hygrophoropsis aurantiaca or Omphalotus olearius. Based on the size of your specimine I would lean toward H. aurantiaca

I concur. The False Chanterelle, Hygrophoropsis aurantiaca .

I just received this information about the false chantrelle from my collegue in Switzerland Tjakko Stijve:

"The false chanterelle is very common over here. There was a bullshit
rumor that it shld be hallucinogenic. No way, at one time 25 % of the
canned Chanterelles (Cantharellus cibarius) on the German market were
heavily adulterated
with Hygrophoropsis aurantiacus, and people did not get high."

Mj,

I had also once heard that story.,
