pick yourself up a nikon coolpix..
i guarnteee you wont be disappointed, and if on the off chance that you lose it or whatever.. 150. bones aint nothin compared to a 5-8 hundred dollar DSLR,.. and that not even counting detachable lenses's.

i remember this girl in my photography class cracked the screen on her nikon DSLR without even realizing it on her way to class.

bitch balled her eyes out.

This. I would never take a dslr to a festival. Unless I was working generally here they have professional photographers walking around. I come to party and I'll be lucky to hold on to anything.

Lost far too many backpacks filled with beers just forgetting them sitting around random campfires. I bring 10 dollar walmart backpacks now. Not that big of an "oh shit that sucks" moment.

Yeah. As I said before I'm probably not going to do it, too risky, though it's a bummer because it would be great to have the week after, I've kinda got a whole trip planned out with a lot of scenic places to camp and fry, wanted the camera to bring home some high quality photos, though looks like the festival ruined that idea

Dunno man perhaps there is somewhere you can rent a locker in a town on the way after the festy. Not sure if that is a thing. Maybe even your bank. :shrug:

Use a trick we used back to scouting times to hide alcoholic beverages: dig a hole in the grass near the tent and hide it into! You just need to keep the grass surface entire to cover it back, and pay attention nobody see you operating :laugh:
