Sure, but account for the fact that people at the point where they experience DTs are much less likely to seek medical attention due to their compromised mental health.  Not to mention their compromised physical health.  It's not the most reliable statistic without qualifiers.
And to say something happens "without proper medical intervention" at a certain rate, I mean dude think of all the things people would die doing without proper medical intervention.  Childbirth comes to mind.  How meaningful is that number, really?

Dude I look like a cop these days, and people still try to sell me drugs left & right. You've been bar hopping? Buy people drinks, be social, make friends, etc... It'll come up naturally. For future reference, next time you do something like this, save some of what you've brought to smoke up cool people you meet. Then when you're out, you can tell them you're out & see if they can help out. It's not that hard.

Do you really not get it? You are a stranger, if you went asking to buy weed, people may think you're a cop or just get weirder out. If you happened to be chilling on the beach smoking and you come across some pot head looking people you could offer to share your joint and then ask if they know where you can pick up some more.

The ones that don't seek help are much more likely to expire. By the time they reach that point they've already suffered irreparable organ damage from decades of alcohol abuse, and their days are numbered regardless. Heavy alcohol abuse has severe consequences. I've treated patients at the end of their days due to this, and it's not a pretty site.

Childbirth isn't a good example, because there are a lot of people that do forgo the mainstream methods, and while I personally wouldn't recommend that, these births can be done quite successfully, and often are. Note also that the statistic referred to pre-interventions that we have now. The rate of people that expired from DTs without seeking any medical help would be higher. Regardless of the statistics, DTs are medically considered to be a life-threatening conditions. If one of our patients exhibits those symptoms they are sent up to the ER stat, then transferred to the ICU until they are stabilized. That's procedure.

If its not legal, people are going to be shy. That's the current climate. If you make friends with someone to where you feel that they're cool/not LEO, ask 'em if they want to smoke, pack a bowl -> they know you're cool. When you're in need they'll feel more comfortable helping you out. It's not rocket science. I knew this shit when I was 15, and that was a long ass time ago.

You're new here. Tell us a bit about yourself. Explain the situation. Are you new to smoking or what? Introverted? How is what we're saying not making sense? None of it is new...it's how it is cause the herb is illegal. A drug charge has long lasting consequences.

Sure OK, but your position is that OP's misuse of the term DTs is harmful, yet go on to claim that DTs are common knowledge and that everyone knows about them.  So where's the harm?
Besides that, it's likely that if OP is cheifing up that much weed on the daily, he's likely experiencing some mild general withdrawal symptoms and misattributing them to DT.  It's really not that far-fetched especially if his social circle deems those feelings as such and that's the way the phrase is used.  English is a plastic language, it molds and words change meaning depending on context far more than the strict dictionary definition.

I have been smoking pot since I was about 10 years old,  picked up cultivation around 15. thirteen years later and nothing has changed. What do you think I'm doing, "excuse me sir but do you have any of the marijuanas?"
Trust me, message received loud and clear, but please, explain to me how exactly do I walk around with a joint when I do not have one to walk around with? Or do I walk around with an empty pipe saying a bit louder than normal "oh geez,.wish i had sone weed..."

I don't know guys it's just weird out here, even the people here are different. Why i don't like traveling alot, always different customs and courtesies when it comes to stoners, feel like a fish out of water sometimes.

DTs are common knowledge, but there is still a lot of misinformation about pot, and still a lot of people that believe it's the devils herb. Common sense isn't all that common. People can, and will, connect the term DT to pot to further their agenda/justify why it should be illegal, especially considering that one of the big platforms for legalization is the fact that marijuana is safer than alcohol. I also don't buy into withdrawal symptoms from weed. I smoked a ton of pot on a daily basis for years when I was younger, and didn't experience withdrawals when I stopped. Sure I missed it, and wanted to get high....but that was purely psychological. I also abused opiates & other hard drugs on a daily basis when I was younger, and kicking those was a long arduous process, with acute withdrawals, PAWS, and multiple attempts until I was finally successful. Marijuana is nothing like that.

I see where you're going with English as a plastic language, but to me it's not where such things are considered. I'm a health care professional, and we go by strict definitions out of necessity. Perhaps I shouldn't be as hard edged with it on these forums, but it's become habit, and a habit that is important to maintain so as not to cause confusion when I'm at work.

SoCal can be a lot different than NorCal IME....and not just regarding weed. Different attitude in general.
