Very pretty! That's the one from your aquarium? Do you have any other pictures of your tank, it looks gorgeous. I love saltwater aquariums, if I had the $$ and the time to invest in one I would.

sadly i no longer have a satlwater tank as i move around too frequently now :frown:

thats not my fish either but very similar looking i think mine was a southern variation.

i do have a small 30 litre one on the kitchen bench with some small fish and alot of plants i got from a dam. just to add some life to the home.

i find it a rewarding hobbie if its easily accessable. its an easy way to see even the smallest creatures making judgements and having thier own consious thoughts

Hmm I'm not sure. In alaska saw a lot of moose, dall sheep, fox, bears, and other things of that nature.

Here in washington I've seen a lot of deer, racoons, and saw a possum the other day. Know they aren't rare at all but I've never seen any of them before.

Bald Eagles I guess. I used to see them on occasion when I was up in Wyoming on work. Shit I've lived in TX for over 20 years and haven't seen one once. But in that part of WY I'd see one or two every couple of weeks.

They are quite amazing to watch though.

I don't know, I see grizzly bears from time to time. That's about it. I've never left canada yet

I don't think they're that rare. Hell maybe even they're abundant.

But they're rare for me to come across. Only place I've ever seen them in person was that little middle of nowhere town in WY that I was in for a little while.

I could have swore that I saw a wolverine crossing the street in that same area...but those truly are extremely rare, so in all likelihood what I saw that day was a badger.

That reminded me though of the rarest animal I've seen, outside of a zoo, in person.

Last summer I saw a skunk up close! It waddled right past my forklift. It was fucking HUGE!

nah, not really. I was inside an enclosed forklift cab, quite a bit higher up than him. But wow, you said it...I didn't realize how big they are. It was quadruple the size I'd expect them to be. :lol:

Of course, lots of douchebags in the yard caught sight of it and started terrorizing it by chasing it down with loaders and forklifts :facepalm:

A family of spotted owls that my buddy had befriended. He invited me over to watch how he called them in near his burn pit. He had built posts with rails on them and lay pieces of meat and other food on the rails. He made a high pitch clicking noise and the babies would fly down then the mom would come down and you could almost touch them it was amazing. I seen a bobcat one time to.

Probably the Artic Fox

Not that rare in North America but in Scandinavia they're acutely endangered.

Seen some cool birds in the wild. About 10 days into North. Baby bald eagles (in a nest), great blue herons, cranes.

Don't think these ones are too rare, but for some not from the north they might be. Like grizzly bears, mountain goats(badass climbers), mountain sheep, moose, etc.

I saw a black squirrel once when I was on a hike coming down from acid and thought it was the rarest thing on the planet, like the only one on the planet.
I followed it.
I felt like it kept stopping so I could follow it and it was bringing me somewhere.
Then It vanished, & later found out that it's not the only black squirrel in the world :lol:

apparently black squirrels are really common in some places, like the netherlands. thats what i hear anyway. I've seen a couple in my lifetime.
