How secure is using single proxy?
    #1987644 -

I'm using steganos internet anonym and it features a roulette proxy feature that shuffles the fastest anon proxys at adjustable intervals between 1 second and 1 minute. Only thing Ive noticed is not all of these servers are as reliable others. Some have filters that block certain content. This can be a major pain in the ass since some servers block even my email provider (hushmail). Is finding a reliable fast anon proxy server and sticking to the one, just as secure, or is added security gained with this roulette feature? If so, does anybody know how much?
Thank you!

A reliable proxy is generally one that is fast, always up (stable) and anonymous.  (Being outside of the country you reside can help too).

If you find one that fits those 3, you should be in good shape.

There's really not much to using proxy servers, you're just piggy-backing off of someone elses computer.  If that computer is fast, always up and running and keeps an anonymous log of who travels through it,

Typically more secure than no proxy.

Remember, somebody can always be listening/snooping between you and the first proxy you use. Unlikely, but possible.

Thank you! That tells me what I needed. I was wondering about the other country bit. Makes sence...
