If that is this (minus the worm)

Or this

Then I used to have these guys as tadpoles, they were pretty rad.

And saw a scorpion in Missouri, guessing semi rare

and here is the copperhead and king snake battle

And here is a lightning bug larvae

It's this

Spotted salamander, and very not rare

That copperhead is losing an epic battle.

That is what those tadpoles turned into.  Thought they were frog tadpoles until those crazy gill things came out ha.

And yea, he didn't stand a chance against the king snake.  I had heard a couple times that if you have a king snake around your property to leave it be as it will take care of the copperheads, and now I believe it ha.

- platypus
- lyer birds
- whales
- dolphins
- seals
- owls
- geckos
- goanna (lace moniter)
- tassie tiger

I have also taken marine life from the wild.. pretty illegal but its all good including
- seahorses
- corals
- crabs
- various small native fish

but the one that stands out above all is a saltwater fish that i recieved from a friend who has been commercial fishing offshore for 10+ years and has only seen less than 5.

i wish i had a pic because there is none on the internet (have looked for hours) which leads me to believe its unidentified.

it looks like a goby, bright orange with transparent holes in its fins and uses its 2 front fins to walk around the bottom on the ocean/tank its very dainty and looks like seaweed alomst.. its a very beautiful creature.

unfortunately mine died a couple years ago.

I don't really agree with that because it's been drilled into my head that you don't take animals or coral with you, but at the same time if you bought a fish then it honestly probably would've been poached from the wild anyway and the transition would've been a bit rougher because it would have to be shipped to you and whatnot.

I miss scuba diving in the ocean. All I've got is cold quarry diving now, for the most part :frown:.

its a very touchy subject for some..

dont get me wrong im no mad poacher just like to get to know animals better lol

i havnt done it since i was a teen and they all went into a controlled environment with water parameters that matched the local waterways

the goby i was talking about looks similar to cryptocentrus cinctus although it had white vertical bands down its side..

yeah I honestly take less issue with people who are taking a one or two to personally keep as pets than I do with companies poaching a shitload of them and selling them for profit.
I think it's important that the law is in place. Seems like you probably have a stunning aquarium, I know next to nothing about keeping a saltwater aquarium.

when I was 13 I had a summer project(I was in an environmental program instead of real school) and I had to create an insect display so when we went on vacation that summer I collected a lot of really large scary awesome bugs that I wanted to bring back with me. If my dad hadn't found me out then US customs would've taken up issue with me trying to bring those insects back into the country and I could've gotten in a lot of trouble :uhoh:

When you are making the post, above the text field from third in from the right, the yellow box with a mountain and sun. Post the image link in the field and click ok!

Click the little icon above the text box that's 3rd from the left, or just format it [image] urlhere [/image] but without spaces.

You mean third from the right.

Third from left would be the underline text option.

If you put in a link from your albums on here, then it will be a thumbnail by default. You could try hosting the image elsewhere like tinypic.com if you really don't want it to be a thumbnail, that's the only way I know how to fix it.
