Thanks to all for the pics and comments guys! Guess im not the only one that likes exotics. Dont get me wrong i love cats, dogs, scared as fuck of horses, but reptiles and saltwater fish are the only animal ive ever looked at and just been in awe. Not just that i can go on a trip for 2 weeks and its all good. No hair, no daily walking or cleaning, no noise unless the blood is pissy and she hisses at me. They are some of the most chill animals in my opinion and fit my lifestyle.

I think all reptiles are depressed. My two little leopard geckos just sleep all the time.

i have 4 tortoise, 2 9 year olds, and 2 little ones, about 1 year old or something.

one of the older tortoise ran away once for about a month, and it came back on its own. she seems much more wise now too because of it. she's real patient..

i've had snakes before, i just don't like having caged up pets and shit.. someone gave us two rabbits recently but i just couldn't see them caged up so i started letting them roam around the yard and shit, never saw them again after a while.. i hope they made it to the woods safely..

I get what your saying, but snakes in the wild don't really move a lot. Blood pythons sit in rice pattys for days waiting for there next meal. They are ambush hunters. Mine sometimes sits in the same place for like 2 days until I take her out. There are people that give these animals shitty habitats and bad care. I take better care of my 3 snakes than most people take care of their dogs. I feel like its my duty to give them the best. They deserve it.

Hey Shlong. I want to see a picture of your tortoise. What kind of tortoise so you have? Does he live inside your house sometimes, like during winter?

He lives in the basement all winter and in the fenced in backyard spring thru fall... Has a huge burrow dug out that you can't even see the bottom of anymore..
Quite a critter

She's about 10 years old.
She'll live long beyond me as long as she remains healthy...
Someday I may need to donate her to a zoo.
She's at about 58lbs now... Will go wwwaaayyyyy beyond that, however.

I'm thinking about getting a reptile. Previously I have owned house gekos and crested gekos and as of right now I have tarantula.

I was thinking another lizard...something medium sized, any suggestions?

Damn, shLong, awesome tortoise. Figures you'd have that- fits your personality.

Gorgeous tree python OP! Still relatively on the small side, but still- how bad are the bites? Even my tiniest ball ~200g can draw blood (doesn't hurt, but she's snappy). From what I've seen, tree pythons can really cause damage.
