Re: A tsunami is going to hit the east coast [Re: Repertoire89]

that's why i never expect anything to specific to happen. well, i do, actually. but let's face it, nobody is right 100% of the time unless you are just a seriously ballin prophet. Who knows, maybe greenterror is. For me it's really about identifying trends, more than anything...

but i have never have prophetic dreams, my visions are always up for interpretation.

Found it interesting that so many people attribute revelations as an external apocalyptic prediction, whereas it came off to me as a personal apocalypse. The very real and inevitable death of the individual, which is always around the corner and it comes life a thief without warning.

An interesting assumption to me at least, and relevant as the abrahamic religions breed apocalyptic predictions.

exactly, I fully agree. But maybe something that could have dealt with an actual apocalypse in the first millenium (fall of Rome, maybe) could now, in modern times, have a real spiritual impact as a personal apocalypse. We are all historical beings, unless that has somehow been transcended.

That would be externalizing the event just the same  why is it even important whether or not a catastrophic event happens, inevitably there will be catastrophes and the individual will most likely miss all of them. On the other hand no one misses the personal catastrophe of death

History has documented well how unreliable these predictions are, they're so unreliable that prophesying about an event may well alter the laws of physics and prevent it from happening

yeah it is an externalization, but isn't that what all of history is? History is a product of the human mind, as it is a human mind that causes it all to happen barring natural events, disasters, etc. Therefor when people get into high visionary states and make predictions, I think that can be taken seriously. And people make accurate predictions all the time...they just aren't always the ones screaming them at the top of their lungs.

I've never heard one accurate prediction and have heard far more predictions than I can remember, the closest I've heard to accurate is when someone changes all of the factors concerning their prediction to fit some other completely unrelated event which didn't even happen on the given time of prediction

As for visionary prophets I couldn't find a really accurate prediciton like that, but then again I don't think that's how you should look at them. There's a difference between making events fit, and actually gaining real insight via what you read or heard (or saw).

Also this is a different kind of prediction but didn't some guy accurately predict a terrorist attack right before 9/11 and tell the Bush administration about it, only to be ignored?

That's geopolitics but still he saw it coming...

I predict that there will be at least one big tsunami in the Pacific unrelated to nuclear bombs sometime in the next few years. I just have a feeling.

The feeling wasn't too specific on that, sorry. There may be a list somewhere that they pick the names from if that helps.

In fact Tsunami is already like a 'name' like 'tsu-name-i.' 'Nom' is probably related to name like in 'nom'enclature.

So I think I just solved the mystery.

edit: i realize it's a japanese word but dang, for us english speakers it certainly seems that way.

If you can access the Akashic Records then go into trance, record the audio and get some random info on me and then tell me what you've learned.

Edit: Re-worded. Sorry lol

Man this philosophical shit is BS.

The cliche "time does not exist" outlook...

You are born in time, you will die in time.

OUR nature of "Time" in the 24-hour sense is based upon our hours of daylight, etc... but that does not mean TIME does not exist.

You are born, you will age, and you will die. Time does exist.

I'll believe all of this if you can foresee a winning lottery ticket for me.

As for "some would love to see the world end in a nuclear holocaust" - yeah.... We call them Iran.

lets take away every clock that exists in your life and we'll see how different you think.

That's more like an informed opinion based on data

that is exactly what a prophecy really should be only the data is raw channeled visionary experience. You can have an experience like that and be completely unprepared to make logical predictions based on it, however.

History has shown those sort of visions are at best unreliable to an extreme, perhaps that is what they should be but as is a 'prophesy' is not even worth listening to. Data on the other hand can be very reliable

A nuclear blast is not nearly strong enough to trigger a tsunami.  The sheer force of an earthquake powerful enough to create a tsunami is equal to probably thousands or tens of thousands of nuclear bombs.

And I have no idea what OP is talking about with the government and geoengineering.  We can't even drill down to the Earth's tectonic plates so there is no way to force movement of them, or even be able to see exactly where two plates meet.

If a tsunami happens, it's because of chance, not some vision.  And especially not because of the government.

I believe it's much easier to trigger an earthquake than one thinks.  I've read along time ago about some device the government supposedly has.. The device sent out powerful electromagnetic pulses (vibrations) down into the mantle, etc. of the earth and it would trigger an earthquake.

I don't know how credible it is or if it is at all.  But I believe the idea of it sounds like it makes a lot of sense.  I believe, if we could send out very powerful waves into the earth like that at a fault line, it probably could trigger an earthquake.  Who knows how powerful it has to be though..
