Snortable THC

Now as far as I know, weed can be smoked, eaten or vaporized but not snorted. Even kief, which is like a fine yellow powder, is not active when snorted.

If anyone could ever find a way, some process to make snortable THC, I feel that person would have a monopoly on a massively profitable industry. I mean , the world would beat a path to your door.

So come on shroomery, figure out a way. Maybe you could heat weed in butter, then dry and powder the butter and snort that?

Any techniques for rectal or IV weed would also be welcome. Will it ever happen?

I know that every pothead has dreamed of being able to skip the fuss and muss of smoking weed and just shove a fat bud up their ass, but that sadly just doesn't work no matter how much I cram in there.

So five shroom rating to anyone who can devise a working way to snort or plug weed

if something is orally active that would mean that it should be active intranasally or rectally so in theory the dried butter would work...

There might be enzymes in the stomach that are the reasoning behind edibles working. If that's the case, nasal membranes won't be able to do the trick.

I imagine if you heated it and kept it in extremely fine powder it would sorta work, but wouldn't be as enjoyable or as practical.  These guys chatted about it a bit before, but to no avail.

Snorting powdered THC butter sounds like a way to wind up with a horrible nasal or sinus infection. :lol:

I don't really think it would be a profitable industry.  People love to smoke, and those who don't have tons of edible choices.  The only market would be cokeheads, but serious cokeheads are already worried about their nasal and sinus health and probably wouldn't get off on unnecessarily snorting even more shit.

How about you do your own research? I'm not the designated busy-work man here. Just bringing up the fact that just because something is active orally doesn't necessarily mean it will do anything insufflated. Take kratom for example.

I've never bought them, but perhaps since they are pills they can be de-encapsulated and snorted :shrug:

I bet no one would even make something like that like snorting but only pills so they work faster. Weed is absorbed instantly when smoked. Also it would give weed even more a TERRIBLE stigma to see, especially for cops, it's a powdered substance and must be highly illegal to them. .Plus you'd clog your nostrils. All around amusing idea but it would be a waste of time, weed and it would probably not even work. Also no you can't take those capsules and snort them, that's only with pharmaceutical pills.

and as for the research post I do tons of research but I was just trying to say that instead of making assumptions which may easily confuse readers, you should just look up the assumption and post actual facts about the topic instead of just bringing up more stuff for everybody else to research. nobody is designated to do anything but it would just make things a lot easier if everybody did their own research instead of relying on others to do it for them (not saying that you are) just making a point. Thank You

People wonder if "powder THC" can be snorted. The thing is, isolated THC is a resinous oil, not a powder:

Of course, just because something is an oil, doesn't mean it can't be snorted, however would the nasal membranes be able to absorb the substance? According to Wiccan_Seeker, yes.

It should also be noted that processes for making water-soluble versions of cannabinoids already exist:

Additionally, an aqueous mixture can be created known as a microemulsion, where the cannabinoid is in a state that is similar to a water soluble substance. This is used for intravenously injected cannabinoids. Actually I once saw this documentary on the Discovery channel that had witchdoctors make "Zulu War Snuffs" and had them analyzed in the UK
one of them was high in THC.

I thought: lemme verify that! I had some good Dutch grass handy so I squeezed an amount hard until it was peasized. Then I froze it and after that I crumbled it and hacked it up with a knife.
After that I had two toots of it.

Lo and behold: I got HIGH on grass, definetely THC, and even a bit stronger than had I smoked it. After half an hour I snorted up lukewarm physiological saline salt solution (99.1% water, 0.9% table salt)to cleanse my nose as I am NOT a snorter.

Result: YES! you DO get high from snorting (very fine) grass. Just as fatsoluable compounds pas the skin whilse aq sol cmpnds do not, they are readily absorbed trough the mucous membrane of the nose.

If you place grass under your tongue for 1/2 hour you'll get high too, allthough less than when you smoke it.

If you rub olive oil in your nose (water insol) it will get absorbed too, so there's no basis for the
"not water soluble and therefore cant be insufflated" urban legend.
