I've read each and every Tek about growing mushrooms on the internet I believe, and the answer is nowhere to be found, so don't give me that shit. But It's the first time I'm actually acquiring spore syringes and putting the knowledge with the spores to make somethin' happen, but I have three strains on their way to me, PF Classic, B+, and Thailand Koh Samui Classic, which one is the best strain suitable for a first time attempt?
If I had to guess, I'd guess the PF Classic, BTW I'm looking along the lines of the least likely to catch any kind of contamination, and a fast colonizer/ fast fruiting, but mainly just which strain is most dummyproof?

you might've read every tek, but you havent been reading the boards much =)

there is no 'better' strain, if there was, we'd all be growing it. for your first attempt, it wont really matter so long as its psilocybe cubensis.

i will go so far as to say people do report that PR is a fast and vigorous colonizer.

but i must also add that it doesnt matter how fast it colonizes, if you use sterile procedures, none of the strains should get contaminated.

B+ is also touted as being a hearty fruiter or something of that nature...

but the moral, dont worry about the strain, and just do it. =)

umm i suggest flush your cakes then crumble them after the 2nd flush or so, and the pf classic, id trade someone for that, you might get frustrated with it it loves to abort and the fruits become fatass's and never really get that big, though i hear there realy potent but i wouldnt waste any time casing them, but you b+ THAT SOUNDS GREAT THERE, id also take a couple cc'c of the thai and b+ and make 4 karo water jars incase you do fuck some shit up, at least youl have like 30 syringes of fresh myc to start again heh.

I would say that is not exactly true. Some strains are a little more
forgiving to temperature and humidity errors. I would just go with
the B+ for your first run. I have read they will fruit in a large
temperature range and I have not read about much problems with
aborts. Just my opinion.

you're probably more than right puggy, there are discrepencies in all strains, thats just natures way.

i only say that the strains arent that drastically different in his case mainly because hes never done this before, any cultivation of p. cubensis is going to teach him something he didnt know. and since its a forgiving species anyway, it wont really matter.

but if you MUST have my opinion on what you should go with, ill stand beside puggy and say B+
