If you're still thinking about going to Europe then I have some advice for you:

Europe isn't like the US, the distances aren't too huge.

What I would do if I was you would be go to Croatia, it has some nice beaches and a lot of ruins/history if you're into that kind of thing.

From Croatia you get a train to Budapest, a great city for partying and more high class activities.

Then go to Prague, for more partying and semi legal weed.

Then go home.

Don't forget you're in Europe, so there's history anywhere you go like 1000 year old cathedrals, castles and other shit.

As a European that has seen quite a bit of the continent I would say that you can't really go wrong.

Although I probably wouldn't go for the skiing in the alps option.

Don't get me wrong, ski trips are my absolute favourite holidays but.., skiing you can do closer to home for much cheaper. I don't see the surplus in doing it in Switzerland to be honest :shrug:

Crystal, let me give you a few words of wisdom from living in a 3 different continents over my life.

It really all comes down to what you want to do. I lived in Italy for a year several years ago and it didn't enthrall me whatsoever. I was too young to appreciate it. Especially Italy because it consists of castles, architecture, and museums. If you're looking to take a trip out there with a significant other, it's nice, but not to party.

All of Europe actually during the winter is really dark and dreary. Even Ibiza in Spain is quiet right now. If you are looking for a beautiful and relatively cheap place to stay though this time of the year is Wolkenstein/Selva Gardena right on the border of Northern Italy and Austria (considering you love snow).

If you're looking for a nice little summer getaway in the middle of our winter, I'd say go to Brazil. The plane tickets might be around $1500 but the exchange rate is around 3.5R to 1 dollar, so you can go to a beautiful country with great food, and have a great time...

Just IMO..go to South America.

This is more what I am looking for, something cultural that is rich with lots of history. Although I have already been to Italy, but not yet Rome, only Florence.

I was always like that, though, even when I was younger. I remember visiting Japan when I was 19 and the thing that I wanted to do the most was attend a kabuki theatre. My relatives thought I was so strange, they said I was probably the only 20 year old in Japan who would ever want to go see that kind of show.

Slovenia? Nobody's mentioned it yet but it's a nice small place between Croatia and Italy. It's got mountains, the sea, culture, people, who speak English, etc. It's a 2h car ride to Venice, Croatia and Austria and the ride is like an hour longer to Budapest.
