I understand that. At night, unless it's really warm, I'll always wear boots to the dancefloor. It's too cold for my skinny legs to get there barefoot and you never know what you could walk on. In the day is a different story altogether though; having no shoes is like wearing mittens your entire life then one day taking them off.

As for drugs - I don't think I've ever had much of a good dance on (only) mdma. It makes me too mashy and puddly. Sober, speed, alcohol, lsd, 2cb are all dancy for me. Less so alcohol.
