It doesnt cost 800 bucks and the guy who started it was just there last year giving a talk about all of the magical things it has to offer all the things he loves about it, as well as obstacle to overcome. He was very positive about the future of Burning Man

How is it a capitalist playground? Have you been there? Have you seen all of the art and structures that are built? DO you know how much time and $ goes into putting it on? I am guessing no

I haven't been to burning man but I met the original owner, before he sold it, at floyd fest, and if he said anything like that there it was scripted, straight up...

I have to say you do not know what you are talking about. There is no "owner" and it was not "sold". It is a non-profit organization called burning man project. The same person who started burning man originally is still in charge. they had legal and financial disagreements in 2011 and that is why they switched to a non-profit org.

The speech he gave was not scripted, it was his genuine feelings on the event. I have talked to him a number of times casually

I never understand the people that will sit there and put down something they know little about and have never experienced

As someone who has been traveling for 6 years, and knows a lot of the full time nomads around the country, I can tell you with absolute certainty this is not only the sentiment of the starter of burning man, but anyone who is a nomad, rainbow warrior, or dead head, FUCK BURNING MAN!!!!!!!1

I know lots of deadheads, cheeseheads, nomadic travelers, rainbow family that all go to burning man and fucking love it. So you have been a street kid for 6 years, big fucking deal. That does not give you automatic knowledge of all events. And to call it a festival just shows your lack of knowledge and understanding of what Burning Man actually is.

It is a city of 60,000 people. There is no stage or main act. There are hundreds of "stages". It is 60,000 people doing whatever the fuck they want. Do you really think that Burning man is just one way? There are different things happening all over the city. You may find a bunch of assholes in one area, only to move on and find your groove and like minded people in another area.

For anyone to talk trash about something because they do not understand it shows very shallow character

You sir are as close-minded as they come. Burning Man does not need people like you . . . so yeah you are right Burning Man sucks! . . . Please never ever go there! Fuck that place!
