While it's true that most areas of Iraq are relatively safe for our soldiers, there are certain dangerous areas, particularly around Baghdad, and I'm fairly sure the media isn't just making up all those casualties.

I know they aren't making up the casualties, or the problems. They are just focusing on them, while ignoring the positives. Sure there are problems in Iraq. It is stil a war zone. Things are slowly getting better though.

I don't care what positives there may be. The fact is that our soldiers are still dying over there, when the war is supposedly over.

Oh Christ. Please come shoot me in the fucking head. Here we go with another disengenuous libbie statement. You know for a fact that no one ever said the war was over. Major combat operations were said to be complete. That is all. You know, tanks divisions rambling through the desert, and bombs being dropped. The President said that the war was not over, and that we had a long ways to go. Soldiers dying is of course sad, but I must say it is what they are trained to do during a war.

I have another quote that no one ever said, but it was surely written "Mission Accomplished". Know where that was?

Oh, now I know what you all are talking about. Is Saddam still in power? Wasn't that the main mission objective? I must be missing something here.
