How to: Groundscore?

This thread is for tricks and tips for groundscoring at a festival.

I realize I suck at it. I volunteered and was doing cleanup the whole last day of a festival just walking around picking up trash off the floor and I didnt find anything.

Never done that. Sounds pretty sketch dosing something you found on the ground (unless its pot or identifiable pharmaceuticals).

I usually just ask around and can usually score. If someone's smoking some weed I'll just chat em up.

i've scored alot of stuff.

i've also lost alot of stuff, i think it just about evens out.

whats the best you've found? lost?

my best was an eight to a quarter of mush, also 100 bucks

worse loss was my cat in the hat hat, or my haymatal (sp?)

My friends cleaned up after Electric Forest last year and found Acid, Weed, Molly, clothes, money, and some other stuff.
I guess you just have to pay attention. If it's a large event there is bound to be some stuff on the ground. Although I probably wouldn't take drugs I found.

I guess people don't generally throw their drugs on the ground. :lol:

Drugs are rather expensive, you know.

Ive never really found much, but ive never lost much either. I also agree it evens out.

I think I found a phone a couple fests back, and we found a phone at a recent fest. But i always turn those in to lost and found.

My buddy found a half g of coke at this past fest. I found a cool looking rock. Thats about it haha.


When is the best time to go looking? Early in the morning, like 6am after a big night?

Ive found so much K I couldn't tell you. People always seem to drop that shit (LOL) Just keep your eyes peeled. It helps to be broke and not fucked up. My buddie found a HUGE crystal like fuckin HUGE stuck in the mud after a fest I was like wtf how do u lose that.

Be slightly humpbacked like me and stare at the ground as you walk.  Put a finger light on a finger and you are set.  I used to find change on the ground at places like the mall and 6 flags as a kid like it was my job, so ground scoring is 2nd nature to me. 

2 years ago at scamp I found probably 150 cigarettes.  I don't smoke but all my friends do so they were happy with my finds.  Found a couple chillums, many a lighter, a little molly one time, and some bud in a cigarette box a couple times.

found a tiny baggie with 2g molly all nicely capped in 200mg initials and 100mg redoses. i almost felt bad as it had some girl's name on it, she missed out. but back then i had no source so 2g of good M was a godsend.
