I'm sorry that I was cooking dinner while typing in my responses and I made a typo? Will you ever forgive me?

Oh,I also apoligize for my numerous grammatical errors and misspellings on an informal message board (including the the question mark in the first sentence).

Well since you asked so sweetly, OK.

Know, but I had a good jerk session and Rono sent me a PM telling me to calm down or I would get banned for flaming. It wasn't proper behavior for a mod he said. I complied and am going to respect his wishes.

who cares whether bush is an idiot or not? Its wiether you agree with his policies that matter...

and grades are a low judge of intelligence, although one can say with confidence that most people that have high grades are smart on some level. As I see it school is a good judge of whether you have a combination of intelligence, desire to succeed on some level, an ability to take shit from people, self discipline and other motivations that may apply only to school.

Do you have any comprehension what the 25/75 percentile SAT scores are for freshman admitted to Yale? Take a look, in 2002 the lower end of the spectrum is around 1450 and the high end around 1560. A score of 1206 is no doubt above average, yet it is no where near the range for those being excepted to the top schools of the country. Also you might want to look at the average SAT score for those graduating from his highschool prep academy, where they no doubt had intensive training programs to raise the students scores, my guess is the average would be between 1350 and 1400. A college is a profit based instituion, and survives on the basis of its reputation and endowment. To think that they would except a person based on family ties (political dynasty) and money, is not a hard to grasp concept.

Actually I know little about the scores other than what I looked up today.

I have no doubt the family name was a help in getting admitted.
