To store dried mushrooms, it is best to put them in a sealed container. Put this container in the fridge or freezer if you can, that's even better. But if that's not an option, a drawer that doesn't get too hot should be okay.

If you want to keep your dried shrooms for a long period of time, you'll definitely need to seal up the container. I'd recommend putting them in a glass jar, as I've heard that regular ziplock baggies allow a small amount of air to pass through over time...

Some people even go so far as to fill the storage jars with carbon dioxide gas so as to cut down on oxidation...

take care,
c

cactus is correct. Storing in a glass jar will give you the longest preserved fruits. Ziploc bags allow oxygen to pass and this will contribute to the oxidization of psilocybin/psilocin. You can drop a small cube of dry ice into jar leaving the lid loose and as it evaporates, it will release CO2 which is heavier than O2, forcing it out the top of the jar. When only a tiny bit is left, seal the jar and this will create an over-preasure environment, preventing anything from entering. If you seal the jar with a large piece of dry ice inside, it may well explode .

Peace.

A vacuum sealer is also a good idea for preservation . Store them in a cool dark place is the best.

chestercopperpott - Your dry ice method sounds great
