growing autoflowers

What's the pros and cons? And is it a good start for a noob?

I have colitis NOS and causes me a huge amount of pain unless managed with cannabis. Though I'm scripted 40mg marinol(I take 50mg) I can get breakthrough pain and when the marinol stops working at night I need that pain release.  Getting opiates is no problem for me but they barley kill the pain and I'm sick of taking them.

Anyway any input on the Matter?

I'm choosing auto flowers because idk I just don't want to put to much effort into my grow but also not to little.

Aren't AF strains essentially meant for outdoor grows?

One big con is that you can't (easily) clone them, and a lot of the ones these days are only available as feminized seeds. Without using some advanced techniques, you are dependent on the seed company for each new crop. For indoors there is no real advantage IMO, light timers are very affordable. Outdoors they would be easy to hide and to harvest earlier than thieves or law enforcement would be looking for them. People sometimes exaggerate how weak they are, when I tried Lowryder #1 I would say the potency was alright, not super high but not super low either.

Oh and these aren't fem seeds. I'm hopefully going to get a male and female to get more seeds. And would those seeds also be auto flowers?

From what I understand, some strains are more stable than others with the AF trait. With the Lowryder I tried, all were autoflowering but a few came out so tiny as to be useless. I'm not up on what's available these days, what was the one you found that's non-feminized?

Idk it comes from a someone I know in person who just grew auto flower for seeds

Lemon haze, candy kush and some others.

Autoflowers are only good for growing outdoors IMO. Especially if you start them around late spring/early summer.

The only downside is that you can't clone autoflowers. So you'll need to buy seed stock every year which is a hassle IMO
