humidity
    #1889036 - 09/06/03 05:32 PM (20 years, 6 months ago)

I have recently bearthed my cakes in a large rubber made container, with a humidifier, and humidity gage attached. unfortunatley I can not get the humidity above 83%. I was wondering if this would be alright or if anyone has any suggestions on how the get a higher humidity.

put them on a screen and add about an inch of lightly saturated perlite in the bottom of the container. that should raise it.

how i set it up was to put three inches of water/hydrogen peroxide in a 10/1 ratio in the bottom of the tub, with a fish tank arerator running into the water. the screen with the cakes sits about 5 inches above the water. and the humidifier hose enters the side of the container about an inch belol the screen.

would putting perlite in the water work or should i find a way to place it on the screen bed?

Your humidifier should have it at at least 95%, what kind of humidifier are you using?

Your humidity should be higher than that,, Is everything sealed up tight?
