Dosage for Ganoderma applanatum (Artists Conk)

Hi, id like to know if anyone know the dosage for medicinal use of Ganoderma applanatum  (Artists Conk) ?

Could i do the standard reishi dosage 3-5 g per day and up to 15 g if there is a disease.

From what i read it has about the same properties as G.Lucidum and it grows wild in my area ,i heard it was even more potent than G.Lucidum but that might be wrong.

Also since im starting with fresh material,should i calculate about 10 % of the fresh weight to find out the dry weight or its probably a little higher ?

I would do the same dosing as you would reishi.

I haven't calculated it, but I'm betting the dried weight is going to be more like 25-40% of fresh weight.  Just weigh a sample before and after drying to calculate the % moisture.

That stuff has the strongest smell in the world.  It's the same weird medicinal small as G. tsugae I find in my area, but it's so much stronger... smells up your whole car on the ride home!  I would recommend cutting in strips with a serrated knife before drying, and then using a coffee grinder.  Very tough mushroom.

I know the artist conk i have harvested in the past is near identical to the G.lucidum in this area as far as water content is concerned. which the last time I calculated it(3 weeks ago) they were 50-60% moisture.

Yeah i guess ill just always dry it out, i dont want to guess everytime im gonna dose it.

I simply sliced it in the finest slices and chopped that in half.After that ill just grind it in my magic bullet.

It's in Christopher Hobbs Medicinal Mushrooms

Aloha even uses it in their Reishi capsules.  They call it "White Reishi".  (Although I find it strange they say it's "super rare".  Maybe in other parts of the world it doesn't grow all over the place?  Here it does!)

I think it was in Greg Marley's book too, but can't remember off hand...
