sny hardcore stargate fans?

im not really into alantis, but id like to watch any episdoes that cross/reference with sg1, as i just started season 8

i watched the first 2 episodes of alantis and am not really digging it, even the doctor guy from a few sg-1 episodes dosnt seem like the asshole he did in sg-1

Seen every episode of SG1 at least four times. That show got me interested in so many things.

:thumbup: I couldn't even get into Universe just didn't feel like stargate at all I lasted two episodes glad it got cancelled.

i saw one sg universe episode and i liked it, so i tried searching for threads here and people were saying  that all the episodes were the same, somethings wrong with the ship, the one i saw was when they had to fly through a star to power it

I FUCKING LOVE that show. I have watched all 10 seasons like 3 times.

It's the best concept for scifi. It kills star trek and star wars.

I like sg1 alot as well as for it being better than trek though I disagree it beats out star though

Why are you glad a show got cancelled? Some people actually enjoyed it. It's not like something newer is going to pop up.

Makes me think of people saying the simposns should be cancelled since it's not as good as the first 8 seasons. Don't watch it then. Hell when Futurama came back I was happy, then I realized it wasn't that good anymore. Still I am sad it got cancelled and only has a few more episodes in it's life left.

I enjoyed SG1 and Universe, never really got into Atlantis. Then again, I never really committed to it, never really grabbed a hold of me.

Atlantis is awesome, IMO the main characters were more or less ripped off from Farscape but it's a great show in its own right. Dull pilot episode but it gets good pretty soon. I never got too into SG1, watched the first 3 seasons or so and gave up. Just didn't really like the characters that much I guess.

Maybe, I need to give Atlantis another shot. Sg1 for me was right after Deep Space 9 so i was all into the reruns of Star Trek TNG and DS9. Atlantis was something i tried to start watching a few years ago. Maybe it was the pilot and the next couple episodes that turned me off.

Just might have to give it another shot.

danel jackson is like the best character ever, hes like a loveable nerd in the movie and early seasons, and moves towards being deep and profound, well sorta

and teilk is pretty funny character

Yeah maybe I'll give it another shot, I'm running out of sci-fi TV I haven't seen. I found SG1 alright, just not super addictive. I was pretty surprised to see tits in the pilot episode.  A couple actors from Farscape were on it later on and I never got to those episodes.

One big selling point of Atlantis was the Wraiths, some of the best villains of any sci-fi show or movie IMO.

Because I don't consider that show to be proper stargate matierial its a stupid knockoff of bsg except without any of the depth that show had. There are enough shitty television shows on feels good when the bad ones go down.

Despite liking the movie, I  never really got into these until recently.

In the last few weeks, I've gone through pretty much the first 2 seasons of SG1.  (I move fast when obsession hits :lol:)


I've heard good things about universe, but I'm reluctant to get into a show that I know was canceled early and therefore "goes nowhere." :frown:

Honestly, as much as I enjoyed it, I would say don't bother.

It was a really slow build up to something that never happened. It needed another season to fully grow and that *poof*
