yeah, but from my understanding of the gitmo debacle some of those people in there aren't jihadists at all.

they usually have people drink water while they put a feeding tube in so it goes down the throat smoothly. this is also (typically) done in circumstances while the patient (or victim in the case of gitmo) isn't thrashing around wildly. if it's taking two hours to get that done they are surely hurting people in the process of doing it. i would tend to think the esophagus is a pretty tender area.

i understand why gitmo wouldn't want to have its prisoners dying on them, but there has to be a more humane way to keep that from happening than this. then again gitmo wasn't established on humane principles to begin with.

is it more humane to let them starve to death?
what should be done with the detainees?
are they not somewhat of a liability to the gov't of the USA now that they have been imprisoned for over 10 years now without a trail & possibility of torture?
