I don't know but other countries do way more fucked up things to prisoners than us probably. I'm not cheering for uncle sam or anything.

i just wish you would take 4 minute to watch a very powerful short film.
i'm sure you will waste more then four minutes today on something, you could take the four minutes for some educational art. :wink:

they feed you a goop thru an IV tube that goes in your nose and down your thought and into your stomach.
this is the way someone in a coma is fed.
someone in a coma will sit very still while you put the tube thru your nose.
someone on a hunger strike won't.
so the detainees are strapped to a chair to have the tube inserted.

I've seen an NG tube inserted and used before. I suppose they could sedate them first to make it easier on them.

they usually have people drink water while they put a feeding tube in so it goes down the throat smoothly. this is also (typically) done in circumstances while the patient (or victim in the case of gitmo) isn't thrashing around wildly. if it's taking two hours to get that done they are surely hurting people in the process of doing it. i would tend to think the esophagus is a pretty tender area.

i understand why gitmo wouldn't want to have its prisoners dying on them, but there has to be a more humane way to keep that from happening than this. then again gitmo wasn't established on humane principles to begin with.

This stuff hurts so much.

He is taking it like a man.

When I first overdosed on DXM, they had to pump my stomach with charcoal. Supposedly I declined drinking it.. I don't remember though. So they gave it to me through a tube.

It was one of the worst pains I've ever experienced. I was in full blown tears by the time it was over.
