So what? Do you consider it criminal to use mushrooms just because it's labeled that way by a bunch of backwards politicians? Or is LSD a crime because it has to be synthesized and it's not "natural"?

If it doesn't harm anyone else, it shouldn't actually be a crime in a free country. If you accept an illogical label that someone else creates despite realizing how illogical it is, you're worse than they are. The only reason using these substances is still a crime is because too many people just blindly accept what they are told about these substances.

This messes with my head every time I'm on drugs. On my last acid trip I spent a really long time contemplating how annoying it is that camping out in the woods and enjoying nature in my own way is actually highly illegal and could ruin my chances of becoming a doctor.

I feel the same way but unfortunately the law sees things differently which
is why I tell people to knock it off with the armchair activism and to take a
proactive role, dont donate your money to NORML, most of it goes to fund
nonsense such as lawyers, websites, celeb endorsements, executive and
marketer pay... they're the PETA of potheads

you want to make a difference, talk to people, start with people around you,
point out that potheads and cocaine users have become president, that acid
users are among the top scientists and that the drug actually helped them to
make the break throughs that have been of such a great benefit to mankind

the #1 way you can make a difference, get your friends together, grab your
cameras, call the media tell them to be at all these political rallies and
then, while having your shit together, question these politicians on the
legalization issues, debate the bastards in front of the media, make them
look like the blundering fools that they are and post that shit everywhere
on the internet that you can, stop reelecting these tards on the 'hope'
that they're going to 'change' something in their second term if they didnt
fight for you in their first and stop listening to the media about the
candidates, research the fuckers and vote according to their actual stance
or past votes, not by what you're told. the time to pay attention to
politics is between the elections, not just before them

Even if I do stuff that's not legal (like Keta, xtc or mdma) I do not consider myself a criminal, tbh.
I know the law considers it illegal and thus I am a criminal in the eyes of the law.
But I do not feel the same way. Last time I was high on Ketamine and MDMA I had quite the interesting chat with an officer that was there to roll up the illegal rave we where attending. He must've known I wasn't sober (huge pupils, talking like a waterfall etc). Yet we ended up talking for like 20 minutes about drugs and raves, lol XD :P

That aside..I don't consider myself a criminal. Especially when you look at the bigger picture and kind of realize that prohibition of drugs, especially weed, seems to be more about $$$, the amount of money the government and the privatized prison industry makes off of non-violent drug offenders is obscenely huge...and also the fact that big pharma is essentially shitting themselves over potentially losing out on so much money to a plant that can be grown and produced for dirt cheap, and often in the home of the consumer, compared to the pharmaceutical alternative(i.e. opiates).

Nah...I don't really consider myself the criminal here.
