Lepiota sp. Maybe?
    #18463799 -

Found this guy growing in some leaf litter in the woods. Closest identity that I  could find was maybe Lepiota. Anyone have an idea?

Looks like Amanita rubescens var. alba. Cool find!

Amanita had crossed my mind but I dismissed that judgment due to lack of volva. Do not all Amanita sp.  have one?

The universal veil usually doesn't leave much of a visible volva in this species.
The swollen base however is typical, as is the skirt-like ring zone and the red
flushes which is cause for the name.

Very very cool. Thank you for the help. Now if I could just figure out how to edit the name in my gallery... If you don't mind, take a look at my NC ID request that should be just above this one. It may or may not be another type of Amanita. I'm not so sure though.
