needing advice from the pros

OK- here;s the scenario. I have done a good deal of reading on the subject of Ps. Weiliis, and am trying my damndest to prove their existance within the cozy confines of (the southern border of) western NC. I think that I found two the other day, though the hogwash flows freely around the feet of this issue. I have no pics, but a puzzling description instead. The habitat would be described as off the side of a road under pine and a few var. hardwoods (dominant longleaf pine). Down the hill from a pasture and furthermore on red, red clay. There were two mushrooms about three inches tall with shreaded weathered caps that were in a past life very close to the shape of the Weilii (complete with slight (nipple)). The stems were slightly fibrous at the bottom and it was definately bruised blue from age and whatever else. No other possibilities right? Certainly not anything else so far as I can ascertain. Oh- and a hollow stem. No print. I will collect more if I see them growing. I wasn't thinking to collect them as at the time I was hiding from a farmers truck who was scoping me earlier at my mad dash to the center of the cowfield to collect a mushie out of a pie. What luck!? Also- is it possible to collect this species where there is no pine debris? Has anyone had experience in collecting off of uncovered lawns (hence- no pine needles or leaf coverage- how about raw dirt?) I've looked for more "what they were found on" info on posts but no dice. Please reply if there is time ina day- this may prove valuble. I'll try in the meantime to collect more of ehat I can. I remain, as always in favor of- whatevers right. my apologies for the slip in content- very sorry if it offended anyone. However, I don't see the closed minded logic in presuming d-r-u-n-k? Seems as dumb as my foul mouth- though I do apologize- I just recall in readin other posts similar language with no recourse. Dont think me closed minded. Many apologies agian.

i do think; however, that you should edit that line from your post as it is, in it's nature, a violation of the rules.

consider it done as my was of making it right. Does this mean no feedback on the post? I would suppose that what I am searching for is- could I be misidentifying anything? I have seen the bluing reaction in many shrooms and I don't know what it could be other than that considering the environment.

if the blueing is genuine and the description is accurate then i'd say there's nothing i can think of off hand that you could be confusing with it. was the bluing all already present? did it bruise further when handled?

if at all possible, get pics. it will help imensely.

It was blue at the base and it bruised in the center where I touched it- cap basically fell apart- was a bit old. I know it's not some pasture runoff cub. in NC- and sure not in pine needles and clay. I'm certainly not going to jump the gun but it blows the mind- dig it? And I'll post pics for sure- hopefully tomorow- we just got drenched for days- wish me luck! I'm gonna be sure before I go yanking the red zinger and grape jam albums out.
