new hunter, need advice

i live in western KY, and as there isn't jack going on here, we're going to head down to Mississippi to see what we can find. I saw on the weather channel that it's going to storm all weekend, clearing up Sunday night, then staying in the low to mid 80's on Monday. As far as i know, that sounds like perfect conditions. Am I right? I've heard of some places near Jackson, and if that doesn't go well, we're just going to keep driving, to Gainesville, if need be. Is anything happening down there yet?

Found about 8 or so caps every time I've gone since the large rain fall 2 weeks ago...
