Random vocabulary question

If someone where to say:

"Statistics show that people with the most birthdays tend to live the longest".

And I would reply:

"cite source please".

Obviously I understand his original comment is true but I'm wondering what that feeling or action in my reply would be called.

I can't find the word to describe what kind of remark I'm trying to make.

Do you get what I'm saying here?

More so the attitude in which I'm saying something.

Maybe there isn't a word to describe what feeling I'm trying to label.

Kinda like witty,sarcastic, ect .... Kinda thing.
