I highly recommend trying the app at iheartradio.com
I neglected it for so long and finally gave it a try, built a few custom radio stations.
As the songs play you can approve (great, we'll play more songs like this one)
Or disprove (okay, we will adjust your mix )

After a few hours on each station it will basically be playing only songs you like in your chosen style of music.

Free with no ads.

Do they have university radio where you are? Around here they play some pretty varied stuff.

Pandora Radio FTW. I've got a couple great reggae stations on mine. One roots reggae, the other dub reggae. Good stuff.

Every saturday on the college radio they have a segment called Smile Jamaica

It's fuckin awesome they play tons of great reggae and then they tell you about its history, and the religion itself. Needless to say I'm gettin my fix

Speaking of reggae, I actually saw The Wailers this weekend. I was tripping and it was a true Rastafarian experience. :rasta:

MIKEY DREAD!

GTA 3 introduced me to Scientist:

Which opened the doors to a big bunch of artists like King Tubby, Jah Shaka, Lee Perry, Augustus Pablo. Reggae is pretty damn deep.

I saw the marley bros., Toots and maytals and some other artists at red rocks a few years ago. Rastas in the crowd waving the Lion of Judah flag and puffin' ganj and everything. Positive vibrations.

I don't even turn on the radio anymore.

There is nothing good on there, almost ever. I want to call the stations and tell them to play good music, not the same gay pop shit every 13 year girl loves.

Its why I make my own CDs for the car ride..
