Back from NW world reggae fest!
    #5900674 -

My girlfriend, youngirl and I just got back yesterday. We had a great time. The only bummer was the extemely hot weather (106f on Saturday). It was a damn good time. The evenings were great, because it finally cooled off.

We hung out and smoked alot of ganj, drank a few beers, ate some shroomes, drank some tequila, ate some ganja treats. All in all I'd say it was great. It was definately smaller than alot of other fests that I've been to. They stopped playing really eaarly every night too. It seemed like about 11 or so, they stopped playing, even though there were supposed to be late night acts and stuff. I guess they had complaints from the neighbors. They also didn't allow outside alcohol, yet they stopped serving at 10! We ended up sneaking a bunch in.

One interesting phenomenon that I notice at reggae festivals is the profusion of college age white kids that act kinda "holier than thou" about being rastafarians, and kinda aren't real interested in talking to you if you don't have dreadlocks and patchwork clothes. I think this scene is really about love, and people should act as such. Don't get me wrong either, we met some really awesome people, and most people there were really cool, but has anyone else noticed this sentiment in going to festivals and such?

Sorry to ramble so long, but I'm a little buzzed right now.

I'm glad you had such a good time. I had alot of fun too, despite my complaining.
