Buying a mansion in Detroit then remodeling it
    #18275871 -

So my Dad's good friend pretty much did this.  He bought a mansion in Detroit for like $10,000 then renovated it.  It's fucking cool.

This is kind of what it looks like.

Not really but owning a mansion is fucking cool.  As long as I'd open carry and own guns then I'd be alright with it.  My dad's friend never had any problems or break-ins or anything.

$10 000 is not the same ballpark is $30 000.  You do realize $30 000 is THREE TIMES more right?

I really like this idea. For the cost of a house anywhere else why not have  a mansion. You could spend a lot on a high end gate and fence and be pretty secure.

Oh you live here?

Many people should want to live here. But as always its all hear say that paints a horrible picture
because stupid people makes assumptions about a place they have never been.

Anyways as far as buying cheap houses in Detroit and fixing them up most times you are going to be
paying quite a bit of money in the end to fix up most of the "Cheap" homes for sale.

Agreed. People get these ideas that they can buy a fucked up house for 10k and fix it up. They don't realize, if you are buying a "mansion" for 10k, that place is severely fucked up. People don't just sell million dollar homes for 10k for no reason. That shit is going to cost a fucking fortune to restore. Don't forget about the time it will take too.

And just so you all know, living in any big city FUCKING SUCKS. It's all about country living, well that is if you enjoy freedom...

No I don't.  Maybe I'm wrong.  I guess it depends upon what you want to do. It sounds like getting a good job would be hard tho.
