Anyone been to detroit?

Im from detroit and i love it here but i think it gets a bad rep to outsiders. not to say there aren't horrible parts

what do you guys think about the D?

I liked the wide curvy freeways. And the place we played at (iRock) was pretty cool.

I was in an airport in D once. For a layover. I didn't leave though. I just slept on the bench. :lol:

Ive been to worse big cities.
I prefer Ann Arbor and Lansing though.

yea those are some fun places, i have some wild weekends in East Lansing. Marquette is dope if you wanna get out in some nature and theres always plenty of dank tree up there

The hood doesn't scare me . I personally think the hoods here in Miami are worse , and I go through them all the time .
I just dont really see myself going there unless its for business .

Gotta love the dank tree's that reside here lol. Man, shit gets crazy in the D. But not near as crazy as Flint and Saginaw. Thats the shit to avoid, the D aint quite as harsh as its made out to be, but at the same time dont underestimate what someone will do when starving... There aint jobs for shit, and that alone makes peeps do what they have to, to survive..

i mean it makes it up to the top of the list in most crimes and murders every year. i mean theres worse places in the U.S. im sure but its pretty bad, i hear about atleast 4 or 5 shootings or stabbings a night. we had like 19 in one night this past summer

haha, sounds just like good ol' New Jerz.
I work in Paterson, which is rapidly becoming a really, really bad city... all the news is always about shootings/stabbings in Ptown. I thought it odd that all the news was centered around Paterson/Newark area violence when Camden, in our South is consistently rated one of the worst cities in the country. So I looked into the Camden violence/shooting/death news, and came to the realization that it isn't even news in that place any more. It's just how the city is. Sucks. Big time.
