    #18208574 -

plant - tiny pink flowers and thick tuber root
cactus - was not labeled. my guess is an astrophytum, only because of it s symmetric appearance. but i've seen echinos with symmetric patterns too. thanks for the help.

Nice plump cactus  Could it be euphorbia obesa?

No clue on the plant. Looks interesting though.

Euphorbia obesa...aka Basketball cactus. Very nice find!..although you should wash your hands when touching because the sap is toxic.

Why are you concerned about the ginger?  It looks fine to me.  Pretty hard stuff to kill.

Sorry about the OLD THREAD factor, but it's justified.
Well after almost a year I finally figured out what this plant is.
In case anyone may or may not have been curious enough to know the outcome.

Jewel of Opar.

bottom image is after i repotted

Don't know much about it except that it is very edible and very tasty. Cucumber-like.
However the tuberous roots are supposedly extremely invasive, but that could've been
from some old finicky gardener who thinks everything is invasive. Lot of that going around.
