When I was young I assumed that someone would give me the answers when I was old enough to understand them.At thirty years old I am still waitng...and still naked.

I have always considered myself a seeker, but lately I have begun to think of myself as a skeptic. Maybe we were meant to die as we were born......naked.

I sometimes verge on being flippant in my remarks,
i just get easily amused and trust that if i share
my trifling comments with others they'll understand
cause they know that's my nature. Very few of my posts
are serious. I find it better to not take things very
seriously, especially life and heady topics. Something
about the whole "cheerful indifference" (alluding to
Castenada here) attitude seems very Spiritual to me.
But I respect that others take their Spirituality
more seriously.

The whole metephor of being Neked in relation to
Spirituality...just thought of the phrase "Intellectual
Masturbation" (no offense here, the though just popped
into my head) and that spawned some funny visuals of
how sometimes Spiritual people (again no inference to
u whatsoever - but I've met such people) get ensnared
by what I would call "Spiritual Masturbation" (forgive
the disrespectful term). That would be when one goes into
"Seek Mode" in full "Guru Sydrome Gear" and starts
regurgitating one New Age cliche after another, bandying
around terms like bliss, love, compassion and awe when
they've never experienced it but simply like the words.
They'll talk about how beautiful nature is and stop by
Niagra falls or on a clear star studden night and say
"isn't that *nice* ?" and then head on off to the mall
to buy the latest matching sofa set... not to be judgemental
here, I'm a Depressed/Anxious/Useless mass of protoplasm
myself...but ones actions indicate belief stronger than
words. So to sum up, my amusement was completely self generated as
is often the case nothing to do with u and no disrespect meant

u are far from trivial my friend
people probably dismiss what u say cauze they can't relate to it.
often I impulsively outburst into a "Wow" or something expressive
when I see a stunning Moon or Lake or something and people often
give me "the look", u know, the "are u high or something" look.
Don't be discouraged, trust yourself, there is much much right
in u, and in everyone else for that matter, but most people are
just swept up by life and the rat race. I've simply had the
misfortune/fortunate (depending on how u look at it )
of having my life turned upside down so that I could see it crumble
and try to understand it better. I've also had an early fascination
and inclination for the mystical and devine, and I've had a slight,
very slight taste, just a tease, a trickle but just enough to taste,
of what it feels like to have unattached peace.
It's been so long now, but I hope that memory
never fades...I often doubt that it even happened lately, but I hope
it did.
