Poor ass's Pod with perlite.
    #1817777 -

Here is my pod, sorry for the shitty pictures I do not own a digital camera, all I have is a webcam. I put a 48" air diffuser on the bottom and then placed a piece of window screen over it. I then filled the tub with water until the diffuser was submerged a good inch. I then added perlite until i could push it down and it didnt make a puddle. The humidity is 100% and the top and the sides are sweating. I put two holes in the lid one is not covered the other i shoved a piece of packing popcorn in it. The tube to the air diffuser is run through the side of the tub near the bottom. I birthed 9 cakes of creepers into here and I have a flat cake with 3 cakes in it still colonizing into 1 cake up in my closet. The 9 cakes I did a dunk in the frig for 18 hours and then rolled them in dry vermiculite. I mixed some fine grade verm and some really large grade verm together to roll them in. I then took some of the mixture and moistened it and added some to the bottom and tops of the cakes. As you can see they are coated alot in verm. My question is will this be a problem? They are so coated only few parts of the cakes have mycelium visable. They have been in the chamber for 2 days and all I notice growth wise is small furry patches coming up where mycelium is visable. I hope this time I get some results. Thanks for everyones help and magash for his great idea.

The orange crap was probably rust bat, I used perlite last time and it was in there for over a month. The orange sounds like rust to me. Happy growing to everyone, I hope this works for me. I guess me coating them completly in verm wont be a prob since noone said it would be. I wonder when they will pin?? I hope soon, my last grow sucked balls i trashed all my cakes after taking about 15 pins off the cake that all aborted at about an inch each. I ate them all and tripped really really hard so I guess it was a good strain, just fruited poorly. And as for it drying out Kussh, thats why i put screen over the air diffuser that way it is seperated and doesnt dry out as quick. It works so good pouring dry perlite on top of what i have in there now would make it moist from it wicking the water into the air. It seems to be working pretty good. I am mesuring the RH right now b4 I bring this hygrometer back to Walmart , cuz it fucking blows. I just stopped to mist my cakes too lol, I forgot I was typing this. Anyways take it easy and dont smoke as much pot as i do or you wont remember what you were doing 2 mins ago. Is it ok to directly mist the cakes? I heard it isnt but they are coated in verm and i have to keep it moist somehow.

It's almost been 3 days and still no pins. I sure hope they pop up soon, I'm getting anxious.I hope that coating them in that much verm wont fuck my shit up. I've never grown creepers and am interested to see how they fruit.
