watched Brave last night... wishing i had an HD screen...
it managed to give me a few laughs and over all it was a nice movie but both me and the wife felt like there should have been a little more to the plot... too simple and short, we were like ¨thats it?¨oh well...

Watched Les Miserables last week.  It was pretty good. Moved at a surprisingly decent pace for a 3 hour movie with little but singing. Sascha Baron Cohen definitely added a much needed comedic element-- even though the comedy was about as dark as the rest of it. Worth a watch if you're into that kind of thing.


Caught the remake of 21 Jump Street also. Not bad. It was cute. Being stoned may have helped. Made fun of itself a lot.

I just watched V/H/S for the third time this month.
I fucking love gluttonous, graphic horror movies that are low-budget yet totally worthwhile.

I watched about two fifths of that movie.  The first "video" was so brutal it was completely worth it to get through the lead up.  The second "video" I was expecting something similar, but was met with disappointment.  The lead up/pay off ratio in that movie is shit.  Would rate 2.9/5, would watch again just to see first "video."

This is the one on netflix.  Apparently, due this thread informing me, the netflix one isn't the original one.

i just watched the passion of christ,
what a load of shit, worst movie i´ve seen in a long time!

on the other hand the other day i watched Rise of the Planet of the Apes... now that was a good kind of violent movie! i think the catch frase for that movie should be "When apes go Ape shit" :smirk:
i assumed it was some remake of the old film, thats why i never bothered until now... made me watch the rest of them too.

about to watch the Raven...

The Rise Of The Planet of the Apes was good! I like how they showed the spaceship (carrying the crew that gets in a time warp/whatever) taking off at the end. The Raven was pretty good I thought. :grin:

Just watched The Perks of Being a Wallflower, not too bad. I missed my high school years so I am a sucker for these kinds of movies.

I ended up watching this movie ironically because of the name, and the poster, but ended up being very good for a semi-low budget movie based off a play.

You guys should check it out. It's full in HQ on youtube. 7/10

I watched the movie A Few Good Men last night, highly reccommend it.

I watched Lincoln the other night. It was really long but definitely enjoyable. You have to be in a historical mood, I think but I'd give it at least an 8/10 for sure, maybe a little higher even. I loved the portrait of a frustrated man ahead of his time fighting to get those around him to realize what needs to be done and what is right.

Just watched 'Stand Up Guys'.

Pretty decent flick, end kind of pissed me off, however, it ended before giving the final showdown..........

I'd give it a 7/10 for that.

Christopher Walken, Al Pacino, the grandpa from little miss sunshine.


Decent flick, worth a DL.

rewatched eternal sunshine of the spotless mind for the first time in a few years, forgot how good it was. must watch if you haven't already and like jim carrey is more serious roles.

Went to see The Great Gatsby yesterday. It feels like I payed 8 euros to get urinated in the face. It was just awful, it's the first time I've ever walked out from the cinema because the movie was so terrible.

After finishing off my coffee, I'm going to chill out infront of the television and watch and old classic that I haven't seen in quite some time - Point Break. A friend brought up in conversation whilst we chat about films and I forgot all about this awesome movie. So yeah, as you can imagine, I'm quite looking forward to the next couple hours! :thumbup:

It's one of the few films that Keenu Reeves was awesome in!



To anyone that hasn't seen it already, I highly recommend it.
