Andrei Tarkovski, the Soviet Kubrick  His style may seem boring to some but for those who enjoy it his movies are pure heaven. Definetly needs to be seen on a big screen with good sound.

I fucking love Tarkovski.

^ agreed. Stalker and Solaris, and The Mirror, and Andrei Rublev, are all great great films, and are visual stunning. the comparison to Kubrick is well deserved.

Awesome thread WS. <3

So, do we have a movie user-created forum here?

[Am I the only fan here of Lars von Trier?]

The first time I saw Koyaanisqatsi, man, I was literally in tears.
Something about it that broke my heart.

That piece of space debris fall over and over itself.

I fucking love Phillip Glass.

You mean hipster, a connoisseur would recognize quality when they came across it.

zee also mentioned eXistenZ, which is another underrated "mainstream" movie by the Director of A History of Violence and Dead Ringers.

i'd recommend all of them, but other then eXistenZ, they aren't very nice or beautiful. they are kinda the opposite. (eXistenZ isn't beautiful either, but it has a little bit more eye candy.)

you can make "movie thread" a hundred times, and in a hundred different ways and EVERYONE will have a DIFFERENT opinion. you get that, right?

all anyone is talking about here, is what movies are BEAUTIFUL, as for "eyecandy" OR "mindcandy". the thread has not changed, the thread has not been derailed until these last two posts without any movies details in them.

Definitely agree, great movie.

However do not watch this movie whilst tripping, it'll make you start questioning things.
