Ya, well if it clears anything up, my insanely expensive Ultra tickets are still cheaper than 1 night at the club to see a popular dj that only play 2 hour sets these days.

The scene is dead my friends, those days are over. Embrace the new popularity for what fun you can have with it. Clearly your sugestion cannot be that I should just stay home because it isnt as good as it used to be, blahblahbah.

I suspect that many of you are starting to feel old, and don't like the shit younger kids do. Im with you, just watch the new Spiderman movie and tell me it sends the right messages. Its bizzare watching kids that im 10 or 15 years older than rolling, and hitting festies.

Im not a hipster, shit I don't even claim EDM is my favorite music. What I do like is going to Ultra. The money is not a problem and im going to have fun- no one has added a reason to make me question this point.

Im going to Tomorrowland next time around, I bet it will be better than ultra. who knows.

Consider yourself lucky if you get to experience it, some people like me would kill to go to an event like that.

I feel lucky I can live that experience, no doubt. Just also realize what I've had to give up to be in my position was no small sacrifice. Its hard to make cash, but do-able, the bad part is mo $ mo problems. Im lucky if I get to talk to my good friends on the phone once a month now. Not complaining, there's just a difference between me being rich (not) and me wanting to spend limited resources on a party.  From what I can tell, most of the group that went last year make way more money than I do, and most of them bailed on ultra tix this year, and are just coming to do the Miami thing that week. This might end up being the last year i do it hard, but ill take each day as it comes.

That's just it. Having too much money can cause problems while having almost none can do the same.  I just want to be balanced in between the two. Maybe one day?

Anyways, I can keep dreaming of going to an event like this.

Ritchie Hawtin is whatever? :loldongs:

I actually hit the most fucking fantastic party on Saturday for Halloween.  The vibe was unreal, and Manzone & Strong absolutely DESTROYED the dance floor, fucking professionals.

Insane mix by them a couple weeks ago:
