Is rabbit sold in the store?  Or did you hunt your meal?


There's an "ethnic" Italian market that sells frozen rabbits. I've had it thawing in out in milk and spices since last night.

I do go rabbit hunting occasionally down here in the Everglades, but that's only in late Spring and late Fall. Mostly boar hunting tho.

Tomorrow morning I'm going fishing for Kingfish and Wahoo. Nothing better than eating food you killed yourself. I'll have to buy some mussels to accompany the fish from the market tho as they aren't found down here. :elmo:

Any recommendations for cooking rabbit? I have a whole rabbit too that's been in my freezer for 6 months now, and I've no idea what to do with it. Never cooked with rabbit before, much less a whole one. Should I brine it for like a week beforehand?
