What's for Dinner?
    #17914791 -

Appropriately enough, this thread is about your daily meal.

We had baked salmon, alfredo rice (RiceRoni), garlic knots and broccoli with cheese sauce.  It was pretty good. I'm not a great cook, but I manage to make things Mrs. MPD will eat.  I worry as she is only 89 pounds and eats like a damn bird!

What did you have at your house? :yummy:

Waiting for my Salmon to defrost, then maybe some plain rice w/ salt and pepper added. Nothing fancy but healthy

A baked rabbit. Some sauteed asparagus, saffron-infused rice, and pickled beet salad.

It seems we're the only ones around here that enjoy good food.

Mrs. MPD is a gourmet cook, but she is usually too tired to cook so I do the cooking.  Pity, we suffer from my poor cooking skills and limited repertoire of things I can make.  Don't get me wrong, we don't eat crap, but I wouldn't know the first thing about making shrimp scampi unless the scampi came as a sauce and I heated it in the pan with some shrimps.

Is rabbit sold in the store?  Or did you hunt your meal?

it is a statistical fact that half the people posting in this thread ate horsemeat for dinner, and don't even know it.

home-made tortilla soup and grilled cheese. Was delicious. Debating whether or not to make some garlic bread. Wouldn't really go well with the rest of my meal but...garlic bread. Need I say more?

"I have no way of knowing whether you, who eventually will read this record, like stories or not. If you do not, no doubt you have turned these pages without attention. I confess that I love them. Indeed, it often seems to me that of all the good things in the world, the only ones humanity can claim for itself are stories and music; the rest, mercy, beauty, sleep, clean water and hot food (as the Ascian would have said) are all the work of the Increate. Thus, stories are small things indeed in the scheme of the universe, but it is hard not to love best what is our own—hard for me, at least."

I'm sure they have farmed rabbits in stores. I get this great BBQ rabbit at this restaurant.

Its a shame I can't find any horsemeat at any markets though.
