You're not going to be able to tell sex until it begins to flower. You could take a cutting, and force the cutting to flower early with 12/12 light, and determine sex.

yeah, hard to tell as its a little young.
What you are looking for is, right in the
node (were a leaf joins a stem) you should see
what looks like a little bird beak, if it female you
should see little hairs coming from the beak, and
if its male you should see more of a classic beak, i'e
the top part is bigger than the bottom, looks like anothe week or
2 before she'll really show you her sex.

Good luck mate.

I'd snap the whole thing off, and make it a cutting? I don't think it will live with the stem snapped otherwise. Though I could be wrong.

i thought the first pre-flower comes like 4 nodes up from bottom? also hard to tell before flowering it.

Prohibition will work great injury to the cause of temperance. It is a species of intemperance within itself, for it goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A Prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded.

I think you can root it fine in some water with plastic wrap over the top.

What the hell? Ok you need to give it more light. You have almost an inch between nodes. A plant grown under my hps is 2" tall on its 4th node. You can also tell you have low light by the # of fingers. At 4th node my plants(under hps) have 7 fingers. You will not be able to tell sex untill about 30 days from sprout(This is under the best conditions, Mine dident show sex untill 45 days). Next give it alot of fan so it sways from side to side. Take a peice of tape(electrical, duct) and just wrap it around the break. the stem will heal itself and form a little knot where the break was. In about 2 weeks you can remove the tape. You can make a 175 watt MH light for 50$, and actually have a harvest. If you are an adult, and have your own place check out this site www.hempcultivation.com Good luck man, Pm me for info on the light if your interested

The stake idear is the best way forward imo. These
plants heal up very well, aslong as the pencil stake holds it in place (anymovement will himder healing), it should heal. It is how ever still a little early to sex.
But thats a good thing, as males produce flowers, and signs of sex a bit earlyewr than females. So fingers crossed, and do the nurse thing till She's ( hopefully she ;-) is better.

good luck with it :-)
