Hey man! Sorry I am late to this thread but I read the whole thing.

I am a huge India geek. It's been my dream to go there and visit the land of dreams even since reading about Be Here Now and be Love Now, as well as reading about John Lennon's time in India.

Enjoy partying with the sadhus and aghori! I am jelly of amsterdam too, but we do have legal weed here in MI too.
Also, I never knew you lived in Michigan too. We are the same age and I bet we live pretty close, we should for sure chill when you get back. Maybe bring home some mushrooms for me?

How are you enjoy in ng it?? At the moment I live in india and I would never go to delhi....fuck that place.  Why not Mumbai? Its fucki mg awesone laid back and chill. And so many fucking hotties its awesome.  Not to mention the hash....say charas.  Chaaaaaaaa rus.  Gujarat is cool but no drinking. Delhi is a fucking shithole. Watch your ass your back your liggage and your life. Fucking lowlife people don't care to kill you for a few hundred if not thousand rupees.  As you know net here sucks monster cock and im fucking drunk.  Soooooo ya. Hope your having fun:)  ohh and ketamine...so fucking easy to gey..maybe cause I work there..idk. awesome quality vials cheap .AS FUCK.  Hiy me up o if you need help.  Don't worry I am nowhere near delhi so haha don't trip. Ah, it's raining today so I guess I'll tell you fellers about my travels!
As a few posters above said, Delhi is a chaotic shithole. I had a decent time there, but the touts and all the crowds aren't my thing. I packed up after 4 days, leaving to Chandigarh. I didn't really want to go there, but it was the only train ticket available day-of. Well, I spent a day there and went to the rock gardens which was nice. Had a beautiful hotel for 20 bucks, too. Left on a bus to Amritsar the next morning. The first day there, I went to the Golden Temple which was beautiful. I'm Atheist, but I have respect for Sikhs. Next day I went to a border closing ceremony between Pakistan/India which was a hoot. They out-chant, out-march and out-sing eachother. Better than fighting certainly. Next morning I took a bus to McLeod Ganj (Dharamshala), where I have been for the past 5 days. I travel with no schedule, so I could leave shitholes early and stay longer in places I enjoy, that being McLeod Ganj. First few days I spent getting stoned & drunk while hiking with an awesome couple, the husband Indian & the wife English. They left so I've been doing some hiking on my own. I can't really put into words, especially typing on an iPhone, how much I love this place. I'll probably stay here for a few more days, at least.
Condensing the past 2 weeks into a reasonable sized post doesn't really put anything into detail, so I apologize. But yeah, I'm having an incredible trip so far.

E: this charas is just ganja. My hotel owner actually gave me a couple grams for free, he's really cool. Before I leave McLeod Ganj I'll probably buy a tola from him. Costs all of 20 bucks.

I'd love to go to Kashmir, but I don't know how much I would love the weather. If you don't mind, where abouts are you? Also, while I'd love doing Mumbai, Goa, and Kerala, they'll all have to wait for another trip. I'm trying to get a serious taste of each place I'm going, and unfortunately I can't do all of India in 2 months.

I'm a responsible drug user, and not too much of a drinker. With that said, I may extend my travels for a third month, and not go to Amsterdam. I've got a couple weeks to decide, but it's something I'm definitely considering. Another rainy day today..

Yeah. They're so much nicer than America. I'll talk to a person for 2 minutes and they'll invite me over to their house. People are glad to feed you and give you whatever you need with no ulterior motive. That's a large reason why I may extend my travels here. People aren't cold & conceited like in the states

that could also be due to their religion

some eastern religions its considered a "sin" to turn away a person who needs food or a place to stay

not that they arent nice, im sure they are, but maybe their religion has something to do with it :shrug: which is awesome if their religion makes them better people

but what part of the US are you from? cause im from baltimore and now that i live in colorado i realized all americans arent such assholes, its just different parts of the country, and some parts of america is more populated with cool people than assholes

but either way, im glad you are having such a good time! i missed the only 2 opportunities to go out of the country :facepalm3:

yeah i could definitely see that, im sure its to a greater extent than here but its crazy, when i moved to colorado it kinda freaked me out cause people walkin past would say hello, when i go into stores and check out the cashier will have a full out conversation with me about how my day is going and random shit, not just the normal hi how are you, good you, good thanks. your total is 100,000$ its like a full on conversation like im their friend

it still fucks with me sometimes cause im so used to strangers not giving a fuck about eachother back east

but i bet if you took one of them up on their offer to come to their house you would eat some bangin ass legit indian food
