petitions are useless piles of shit that allow the lazy hippies to believe
they've done their part, contact your state legislators and tell them to
review, update and start funding the program that was started in 1980, yes,
that's right, georgia was the first medical marijuana state

in fact the reason ours was better than all others, the state paid for the weed

it already happened in georgia, 16 years before it happened anywhere else but a
petition isnt going to do dick, if it would then marijuana would have been
legalized 3 times over under obamas first term

you have to contact your state legislators either by phone or by mail and hound
them to write a bill that legalizes marijuana, write a sample bill and send it
to them to introduce on the floor of the state house, go to the capital and get
in their faces with a camera and ask them why they dont support legalization
and then hit them with the facts, invite the news media and post it on youtube
dont be some lazy ass hippie that signs a petition thinking he's done something

As of right now I'm a lazy hippie because I have too much other important things to focus on with my life :shrug:. When I have more time on my hands I'll put more effort into trying to legalize marijuana in my state, but hey petitions still have a chance to make little change. Georgia is so anti-marijuana right now it's insane.

There are at least two bills that have been created by Georgia Norml a few years ago. From what I remember one calls for decriminalization and the other for medicinal use. The problem in Georgia is that no one is willing to endorse the bills.

There are a few organizations that support cannabis reform in GA. Join them if you really want to make a difference.
