There is a move afoot in the UK Parliament currently to ban the possession of fresh Psilocybe Fungi, which has been legal for the last 30 years. I know that many of you are not UK residents, but please sign the petition below to fight fear and ignorance of Psilocybe mushrooms.

Online petitions aren't going to do shit.

Like I said before in the other thread, you need to get a real petition signed by registered voters with their names, addresses, and possibly phone numbers. Politician's CARE about their constituents, because they keep them in office. They don't give a flying fuck about some people from the internet.

Yeah, but this will do a hell of a lot more than nothing, and will be a step forward while trying to organise the expense and logistics of a paper-copy national petition.

Agreed. Hundreds of thousands of people gathered in London to protest going to war with Iraq and that didn't stop a thing.
Privacy International managed to get a lot people to include their opposition to ID cards during a public consultation. That didn't stop Blunkett's plans either, even after the govt were forced to admit that more people were opposed to rather than for them.
IMHO this government just doesn't listen, the only thing that can force any of these creeps to resign is a damning scandal.
-------------------- The above is an extract from my fictional novel, "The random postings of Edame".
In the beginning was the word. And man could not handle the word, and the hearing of the word, and he asked God to take away his ears so that he might live in peace without having to hear words which might upset his equinamity or corrupt the unblemished purity of his conscience.
And God, hearing this desperate plea from His creation, wrinkled His mighty brow for a moment and then leaned down toward man, beckoning that he should come close so as to hear all that was about to be revealed to him.
"Fuck you," He whispered, and frowned upon the pathetic supplicant before retreating to His heavens.

thank those careless capitalist mushroom vendors for making the government aware of the loophole in the british law about psilocybin mushrooms.
your best bet in getting your voices heard is for EVERYONE WHO LIVES IN THE UK TO WRITE THEIR LOCAL MP. someone should write up a letter from a template stating your reasons as to why psilocybin mushrooms should be kept legal fresh, then for a measly first class stamp send it off...
http://www.pcs.org.uk/Templates/Internal.asp?NodeID=893121 http://www.politics.co.uk/ information on how to contact your local mp...though....what will be valid reasons as to why psilocybin mushrooms should be kept legal when fresh?
good luck
