Back in 2000, the Raven's D was the closest thing resembling a brick wall.  Fucking ridiculous.

People who didn't watch football back then don't appreciate that they had figuratively sumo wrestlers playing at defensive tackle.

Yah?  And?  My point was that crediting Joe Flacco with making the playoffs for the Ravens is ludicrous.  Not only did TRENT FUCKING DILFER take them to the playoffs he won the SB.

The Ravens have always made their money on defense.  Flacco is a very minor contributor to their performance above average

Comparing Joe Flacco to Trent Dilfer is about as absurd as comparing the 2000 Ravens defense to the 2012 Ravens Defense.

I said Joe Flacco was mediocre and some bunch of retards seemed to think that was incorrect and one even went so far as to put him in the top 10% of the QBs in the league.  As their only evidence they presented that the Ravens had made the playoffs many years of his career.  I pointed out that it had nothing to do with him and that they had actually won a Super Bowl with Trent fucking Dilfer, who was less than mediocre.

Joe Flacco is mediocre.  Get over it.

He's better than mediocre.  To say that the Ravens making the playoffs (and winning at least one game every year) since he's been on the team has nothing to do with him is ridiculous.  it's a quarterback league.  He's made plays.

I'm not saying he's great but he's better than average.

if the ravens defense sucked the last 10 years, joe flacco wouldnt have brought his team to a conference champipnhsip once, maybe the playoffs once if he got lucky

joe flacco fucking sucks and he RELIES on other teammates to help himself shine

a great QB makes the players around him better than they really are (see Tom Brady), joe flacco doesnt do that at all

sorry but joe flacco is average AT BEST

By every metric I have ever seen and from watching him when he is on TV, he is in the middle third of QBs.  That is the definition of mediocre.  Average is average.  There is no shame in not being elite.  There is shame in being Sanchez.

flacco LOOKS good bc his team fucking carrys him

and since QBs are seen as the leaders of each NFL team, he gets the credit that his TEAM deserves

if Brady had the defense flacco has had his whole career, brady would have more SBs than he has now

Flacco is average at best

sorry you guys know nothing about the NFL and are too used to watching your own SHITTY SHITTY teams

That's why I love him and love watching the Ravens play. They are always a hard-hitting and tough defense to play against, no matter how bad their offense is.

I saw the ESPN 30 for 30 on Ray Lewis last night and really hope he gets another ring

no team has had such a consistently great defense than the Ravens during Ray Lewis' years there.


Nobody comes close to maintaining a high powered defense.  There hasn't been a single team in his era that has had a high ranking defense for that long, not even close.
