Are you using a Wacom tablet or just freehanding with a mouse?

It's a tablet that you draw on with a pencil. What you draw is transferred to photoshop or whatever. You can trace over your drawings with it, or you can just draw straight onto the screen. I have one of the cheaper models, but it works great, I love it.

What don't you like about it?

The only real critique I have is that you should stay away from generic filters such as 'clouds', etc. in photoshop, as it only takes away from your work ... try using paintbrushes with low opacities to create those kinds of effects yourself ...

Aside from that, just freely experiment with Illustrator, there are literally millions of things you can do with it ... there never seems to be a point when you stop learning new things about it

like, how would I go about making a realistic skull, and then make it seem ethereal?
