MAOI extraction from Syrian Rue

Someone told me that an extraction from Syrian Rue was the recommened method for combining and MAOI with shrooms. I've got the Rue, but am unclear how to go about extracting. Anyone got any info or links they can turn me on to?

Well I have tryed a acid water extraction method but the stuff realy taste bad. I simply just ground the seed up and boild them in an acidic water, I usualy use lemon juice. Then I filter and straind and redo about this about 4 times. Then simply measure out an amount and drink.
There is other methods out there that can give purer salt form but a simpl search should be able to find it.

Does anyone know how to make an extract so you dont have to choke down a glass of liquid? Somthing pure enough to fit a dose into a "00" size capsule?

Look on erowid -- there are a lot of extraction methods.

Personally, I don't like the "boil it down to a goo and scrape it up" method -- the goo is just awful to deal with, and it's highly hygroscopic.

it is available at lycaeum & erowid, among other places online, and has been quoted verbatim on these boards occasionally (& sometimes with commentary & suggestions)...

Anyone besides me just smoke crushed seeds before? They really don't taste that bad smoked, and give you a nice relaxed feeling.

i have heard of them being smoked in a hookah by members of a thelemite enclave a couple of years ago at starwood festival...
i hav prepared the harmine/harmaline freebase by dissolving in dH2O & treating the HCl salt crystals (the ppt from the vinegar/salt extraction) with ammonia water & filtering out & drying the solid... the f.b. vaporizes very easily & only takes about 40 mg for "noticable" effects...
