What a fucking charade.  They threw a bone to the little guy by keeping their tax rates the same, and threw a side of pork to special interests.

I read that taxes are going up for 77% of people.

something like $800-$1000 more in taxes every year for the middle class.

"President Obama Makes a Statement on Averting Tax Hikes for Middle Class"

he's a lying fascist pig.... it am in awe at the ingorance of the people that vote for him.

Oh don't be fooled - everyone's taxes are going up this year.  Now you get to start paying for your "free" Obamacare.  That is going to cost the average joe about $350 more in taxes this year.  For a family of four that is $1,400 more smackers going to Uncle Sugar.

I have never supported a big government.

I enjoy low taxes like everybody else, but the US can't afford lower taxes anymore. It sucks, but thats how it is.

this is not enough...

the monetary system needs to be changed.

it is a ponzi scheme, you cannot make a ponzi scheme work long term no matter how you arrange the deck chiars.

there is more debt than there is money to pay it all, its is IMPOSSIBLE to balance the budget.

the criminal bankers designed it this way to entrap us all into debt slavery while they become our masters.

The US government could always bypass its own banking system and owe its debt to the bank of America at the prime rate of like 1 or 2%. That would save trillions. Thats what mexico did to pay its debt. Thats what every country should do, but for some reason, they dont

Err thats not necessarily true not saying this would happen however I would cut defense pork and raise the social security age to 70. Reforming medicaid would also do wonders taxes only do so much and without spending cuts we are postponing the inevitable for only a short time.

100% taxes would still not balance the budget.

taxation is not the problem, it is a distraction.

there is no solution in sight until we have monetary reform.

End the federal reserve.

If only it was true so much suffering could be averted.  You may consider cracking a good macroeconomics textbook and look up something called the Laffer Curve.

Ive always been confused by this medicare/medicaid thing, I have a hard time seeing the difference between both. Why is a reform needed and how much cash would a modified version save?

The ignorant masses keep on voting for banker shills who are not going to fix anything.

America is reaping what it sewed.

All of this bad news is coming home to roost due to the american people's negligence, apathy and ignorance.

The big tax has yet to arrive, it's called currency devaluation.

What the Fed, ECB, BOE, and BOJ might do is load up on even more debt and massively expand their balance sheet, and then just cancel it, and there is the western economies instant overnight -50% devaluation.

I understand the Laffer curve and because of it, I know that the taxes in the US is not enough.

It predicted that the Bush tax cuts would result in an almost 2 trillion dollar deficit. But Bush did nothing cause he was drunk.

You need to maximize that curve and right now the only way is to raise taxes

It doesn't help that 1) US Citizens are uneducated about economics and US Government and 2) The mainstream news media obfuscates and distorts the news to fit their guy's narrative.

Try to find a big print outrage anywhere in the MSM about the pork in this bill.  In one MSM article, it was referred to as 'sweetners'

"taxes in the US is not enough"

Higher tax rates do not necessary bring in more tax revenue, why is this so hard for you to understand?

The average tax revenue relative to GDP is around 17% over the last 100 years, this is regardless of the tax rate, the strength of the economy is the determining factor for tax revenue, NOT TAX RATES.
