There is an underlying reason she is upset, summing it all up to pms rather than getting to the root of the problem is rather insensitive of you to be honest and foreshadows future relationship turmoil.

Hahaha listen to this shit. My girl went to her sisters house to get her hair did lol. So i was at home with both fucking kids rite. Her best friend was supposed to go meet her at her sisters so they could all drink. Then i got a text from my chick being a bitch cause its my fault her best friend couldnt go over there :smbfacepalm: the fuck did i do to not let her best friend go. Pffffffttttttttttt fucking women

Wow, some of you guys are so insensitive. She was upset and reached out to you, the person who is supposed to support her.

Omg. Here's another one, OP!

Yeah, maybe women shouldn't be so crazy and emotional, I'm a boyfriend not a fucking therapist. If someone has underlying issues they should go see a professional, not some guy with a beer in his hand who just wants to eat some sandwiches and enjoy life.

The underlying cause was te fact that she  had christmas shopping to do and she wanted me to go with and manage the child. But ive been working weekends since june and she knows im gonna be working weekends till january.

The whole "women are crazy and emotional" thing is so misogynistic. Just because men are socialized to hide their emotions and women are socialized to share doesn't mean either gender is crazy or should be treated like less of a person. Well, then, chose a girlfriend who doesn't have any emotional issues. Good luck with that, most people are sad or upset from time to time and would like the person they are in love with to actually care about them. If you just want to eat sandwiches and enjoy beer and not deal with anyone else's emotions maybe you're better off alone.

Maybe she wanted you to go Christmas shopping with her because she loves you and wants to spend this time of year doing family things. I'm sure she understands you have to work but it's still eating at her that you can't be around on weekends and she probably misses you and wants to spend time with her family doing activities that are in the spirit of the season. If I had a child I would want my husband to come with me so we could both have a part in the gift choosing and have a fun bonding experience doing so rather than only one person doing all of the work and the other person not being involved at all. Is that really all that bitchy?

It's irrational and excessively emotional behavior to get pissed at him when she KNOWS he has to work to provide for his family. I'm sure he'd like to be able to go Christmas shopping too but the fact of the matter is he can't.

She's probably not pissed at him, unless she said those words, she's probably upset/disappointed and I think it's not excessively emotional for her to be so. I would be upset if my husband had to leave all the Christmas shopping to me alone as well. The OP seems just as pissed as she is, if she is actually pissed, with all his incendiary language in the original post. My point is that she feels the way she does and regardless of whether or not it is because her "PMS" she still really honestly feels that way and for a relationship to work and survive both partners need to respect how the other person feels and have a rational and caring discussion about each person's feelings and how to remedy any negative feelings that may arise. Just accounting it all to "that bitch is PMSing and overemotional" is condescending and shows a lack of empathy, understanding, love and caring.

I know everyone is still going to misunderstand my point. I'm not saying OP is at fault or that his spouse should be upset at him for working. I'm saying he doesn't seem open to really considering why she feels the way she does and is oversimplifying her feelings and blaming them on her hormones rather than actually working through the issues and feelings at hand. That spells disaster for a relationship, and these sorts of situations are the exact things that lead to secret animosity and eventually divorce/breaking up.

Cant you guys go on a weekday sometime, OP?

As well as irrational, yes. If the guy can't go to work to make money, there aren't going to be any Christmas presents to begin with. Family bonding is nice and all, but it doesn't put food on the table. Shit has to get done somehow, and going shopping won't pull it off.

When did she ever say he shouldn't go make money? From what I can tell she is just disappointed they can't do it together. HOW IS THAT BITCHY? How is wanting to share an experience with someone you love bitchy? She has to get shit done too, without her doing the shopping it's not going to get done. It's not like what she has to do is any less important because it's still just as necessary.

I really hope you're joking. This isn't even about free time.

Some of you guys are so damn misogynistic, a lot of you seriously lack empathy. Can you for one minute even consider someone else's feelings for a moment? Can you see the world from a different point of view? It doesn't seem like some of you even know what the psychedelic experience is supposed to be about and it's pretty horrible that you buy into society's idea that women are and emotional and men are somehow inherently better when it's all because we socialize them to be so.

as for me its hard to feel empathy instead of apathy. i have a crack whore for a mom, had manny weman take advantage of me and out right abuse me just because i wanted to be loved. i try and take others feelings into consideration but its extreamly hard to do when no one seems to take yours into consideration

We are NOT Women.

You want us to read into every little thing a woman does, and we just cannot. Nor do we care to. Most men don't even come home directly from work. They have to go and do something else, just to delay inevitably coming home to the basket case, that they married because hormonally they have to.

I feel sorry for you're bf, "Why aren't you reading in to my insanity and being a good partner!!!!"

Where did you get this idea from?  OP clearly stated that his fiance thinks that he's neglecting his family, meaning that she thinks it's his fault that they can't go Christmas shopping.  This is a viewpoint that shows no consideration of the fact that he's working to support his family (not to mention affording the Christmas presents that she wants to buy) and is an irrational act of putting the blame on him for this situation just because she's upset that he can't come with her.

Just because you're a woman doesn't mean you need to spring to the defense of another person who's your same gender.

because were men and were always wrong is whats taught to girls by their mothers. most girls think that every one else is to blame and never themselves. look to get consideration you must give it, the same goes with respect.
